Resources for Job Seekers and Employers

The following resources have been compiled by staff at the National Clearinghouse for Professions in Special Education. Most of the resources are free services for job seekers, some are fee based for employers and others require a subscription. The National Clearinghouse is not responsible for the content at these sites nor do we endorse these organizations.

Teachers-Teachers.com is the Internet's premier free teacher placement service. By posting a resume online, teachers and related service personnel can make themselves accessible to thousands of schools nationwide. School districts can view and organize their own list of applicants and listen to recorded interviews of qualified job seekers.

American Association for Employment in Education (AAEE)
Project Connect - sponsored by AAEE and AASPA, offers hundreds of job vacancies for education candidates. Job Search Resources - check out AAEE's additional information and resources to help education candidates with their job search.

CEC Career Connections: Operated by The Council for Exceptional Children (CEC).
The Internet Job Posting Service is an on-line bulletin board listing job vacancies. Employers post job vacancies on the Internet-based job bank that is accessible only through the CEC web site.

Chronicle of Higher Education: Career Network Subscribers who register can receive free access to all of this Web site and regular e-mail news updates

Educational Placement Service (EPS) is the largest teacher placement service in the U.S. Accredited by the National Association of Teacher Agencies, EPS finds jobs at all levels in public, private, and parochial schools. Recently EPS was awarded a contract to recruit Special Education Teachers for the state of Hawaii. The state of Hawaii will pay moving costs!

University Program Listings: NCPSE maintains a database of university personnel preparation programs that offer special education and related service disciplines. We can provide employers with listings of programs according to professional discipline (i.e. programs in behavioral disorders, visual impairments, etc.) or listings of programs according to academic level (Bachelor's, Master's, Doctoral).
